Hey guys. Every week I am surprised when I realize that one could actually say we have a thriving scene here in middle TN. I think I can say that this is thanks in large part to the efforts of Elliott, no doubt that catalyst for most footbag activity in the area. I know he's put in a lot of work for the growth of the sport in the area and it's nice to see it paying off. Thanks Elliott for everything you do, we'd probably all be lazy bums on Sundays without you.
Also, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the facile fabric I ordered from Fields Fabric so that I can get to making some freestyle bags of my own. I've already started one and hopefully can fine tune the craft and put together some kickable bags. If I can get good enough at it I'd like to start selling some (with a Nashville crew discount of course), and maybe pick up some spare cash doing something footbag related (how cool). Elliott's done a great job getting us all interested in net, now maybe if I can put together some nice 32-panel bags for everyone we can start developing some advanced freestylers. Well I'll see you guys tomorrow, and maybe by next week I can have my first completed 32. Take it easy Nash-town.

It's great to hear you have a growing scene that plays all kinds of footbag! There have been a handful of sessions here in Chicago where we've had shred, squares an net all in the same park over the past couple years.
Organizing sessions can be tedious, after a while it just gets down right annoying (I've organized CIC sessions for almost 8 years), there's only so many excuses a person can bear to hear (and I've fucking heard them all). Members can ease the load of the organizer by being a little more proactive with the communication, a simple call/e-mail/text days before the session to ask whats going on or to give a head's up can be helpful.
One of the problems with footbag is is that most everyone assumes someone else is doing something about something that needs doing.
Ok, I'll stop my bitter old man rant now.
